Triesman Resigns

Lord David Triesman quits the English Football Association after claiming that Spain is bribing referees at the world cup. A local newspaper said that he suggested that Russia is helping Spain bribe referees in order get it's rival's support in the race to host the 2018 tournament (He was taped by The Mail on Sunday talking to Melissa Jacobs, a former aide of his, about the said issue). The FIFA Ethics Committee is currently investigating Triesman's statement. FIFA also sent a letter to The Football Association asking it to provide a report on the issue, including Triesman's position. Now it seems impossible for England to host the tournament. The last time they hosted the tournament was on 1966. The Football Association sent letters of apology to top Russian soccer officials, including Alexey Sorokin, the bid chief. But Russians denied receiving any letters. Now what is intriguing is that the bid committee wants to replace Triesman with Geoff Thompson—a vice president of FIFA and UEFA.
Not to sound conspiratorial but does this smells like a scheme to make FIFA choose the host not from Europe but somewhere else.(USA!!)

Noynoy Aquino won this election for sure-the Liberals proclaimed victory, though the Commision On Elections hasn't made any official announcements yet. I remember the first time I saw him was on a campus journalists' convention when i was grade six. He was our guest speaker, and he has a really poor sense of humor.But who is this Geek, really? Born on February 8,1960, Benigno Simeon Aquino III, is the son of the former senator Benigno ''Ninoy'' Aquino-a critic of the late president and dictator, Ferdinand Marcos, and was shot dead at the tarmac-and former president Corazon Cojuanco Aquino-who lead the ''People power revolution'', and the first female president in Asia. He finished Bachelor of Arts in Economics on Ateneo de Manila University. A Member of House of Representatives from 1998 to 2007, and Senator from 2007, he wrote 5 senate bills. But he never got any attention from the media for his accomplishments. In fact, if his mother did not die, he wouldn't have been chosen by the Liberals to run for presidency, and of course, couldn't have won. He has a lot to prove. He has to get out of the shadow of his hero father and his former president mother. And most of all, he has a family name to protect. He's got a lot of shit to do to fulfill his promises. And i hope that he wouldn't say any more lame jokes before doing those shits. Sana nga mapatunayan nya na di lang ang pangalang minana nya ang dahilan ng kanyang pagkapanalo.

I heard the word jejemon three weeks ago. But I didn't really know what it is, until a TV show, Pinoy Big Brother gave it's definition, I know what you're thinking, but no I don't watch that shit. According to them a jejemon is someone who types in mixed uppercase and lowercase and uses punctuations to begin their sentences and build their words. They are easily identified because they dress in a weird manner-mixture of pinoy fashion, modern, hiphop and goth, and they are notorious bloggers and texters.

Well, I have been receiving a lot of text messages from them since last year, but they weren't called jejemons before, and nobody really had any problems with them. What surprises me is people today are more concerned about their existence than the elections. I don't have the correct figures. But I am certain that people in society fears that this group might cause trouble. Specially parents and teachers. In the net, they are always the center of attention. A facebook group ''Go'tta Kill Them All'' has thousands of members. In forums there are always haters and pro-sympathisers fighting and cursing each other. Now they even have their own site and they are now selling a software called the ''jejemon translator'', go to http://jejemon.i.ph. Many believes that this is just a fad that teenagers follows, and that they'll eventually forget about this when they grow up and really knows who they are. But I believe that this is a social movement that will stay for generations to come. C'mmon people let's just accept them, they are just looking for a way to express themselves.
